L.I.E.R. can help its clients with different types of numerical studies.

Development of news systems

We can consider new safety system designs proposed by our clients. The numerical model is developed and evaluated in different impact configurations. The performances can be compared with other designs of the same client, already tested of computed. That kind of studies generally lead to optimization studies.

Study packages can be offered from predefined conditions agreed with the client.

Modifications of existing systems

A manufacturer may sometimes modify a component of an existing protection system. In that case, the numerical study will consist in the evaluation of the effects of this proposed modification on the system performances. When an experimental crash test has been previously performed with the basic system, the evaluation of the modification is done by comparing with the validated simulation of this basic system.

Optimization studies

In most of the cases, we have to perform in-depth analysis of the effect of numerous technical parameters and so we can help to the performance optimization of the systems.
These analysis can be done on geometric parameters, on material characteristics, on different type of component links,...always taking into account the economical aspects resulting from the system manufacturing.
